BIR REGISTRATION SEAL BADGE: WHAT ONLINE BUSINESSES NEED TO KNOW ✨

Have you noticed the BIR Registration Seal Badge appearing on business pages lately? Here’s why it matters.

Under Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 38-2026, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) prescribed the posting of the BIR Registration Seal Badge as proof of registration for covered taxpayers conducting business or providing services through online and digital platforms.

📌 Who needs to comply?

The requirement covers online sellers, merchants, service providers, and other covered taxpayers conducting business through websites, social media business pages, e-commerce platforms, and other digital channels.

📌 Where should it be displayed?

The badge should be posted prominently on the applicable business website, social media business page, online store, or seller profile, where customers can easily see and access it.

📌 Why is it important?

✔️ Promotes transparency in online business transactions
✔️ Helps customers verify a business’s BIR registration
✔️ Supports compliance with applicable BIR registration and posting requirements

📌 What about your Certificate of Registration (COR)?

The BIR Registration Seal Badge is intended to be displayed in place of posting the full COR/eCOR online. This helps protect sensitive registration details while allowing verification through the badge’s QR code.

📅 Compliance reminder: Under the latest extension announced through RMC No. 99-2026, covered taxpayers have until October 31, 2026 to comply with the online posting requirement.

It’s now official! Following the in-app changes we reported earlier, MariBank now offers unlimited FREE InstaPay and PESONet bank transfers.

Previously, MariBank offered 50 free bank transfers per month. With this update, you can now send money to other local banks without worrying about monthly limits.

This is a welcome upgrade for a digital-first rural bank that already offers 1% cashback on eligible QRPh and card transactions, bills payment, and offers up to 3.75% p.a. savings interest.
