🌐 Networking 101: Mix & Match Your Hardware! 📶

Ever wondered if you can use TP-Link Omada EAPs without an Omada Gateway? The answer is a big YES! You don't need to be locked into a single ecosystem to have a professional-grade network. This diagram shows how you can use powerful open-source firewalls like pfSense or OPNsense to handle the "heavy lifting," while using Omada APs for your Wi-Fi.

The Concept is Simple: ✅ Firewall/Router: Handles the VLANs (Management, Employee, Guest). ✅ L2 Managed Switch: Passes those VLAN tags to the AP. ✅ Omada Controller: Runs as a VM (Proxmox/Docker) to manage the Wi-Fi settings. ✅ EAP225-Outdoor: Broadcasts multiple SSIDs, each isolated to its own subnet.
