📈 14-Year Dividend Investing Journey: Key Milestones & Portfolio Snapshot 🇵🇭
A quick look at my stock dividend tracking from 2012 to present and how strategic shifts shaped this portfolio over time.
📊 Key Milestones & Evolution
2012–2019 (Capital Building): Started with ₱5,822.59 in annual dividends. By reinvesting 20% of active income, the stock portfolio reached ₱1M in 2017 and peak dividend earnings of ₱42,813.81 in 2020.
2020–2023 (Strategy Pivot & Restructuring): Shifted focus strictly to dividend income prior to the pandemic. As overall asset allocation evolved, capital was reallocated to other investments, bringing dedicated stock capital down to ₱600k.
2024–Present (Current Cash Flow): On a ₱600k capital base, the portfolio generated ₱37,500.29 in 2024 and ₱35,604.53 in 2025. As of July 2026, YTD dividends stand at ₱34,137.55, bringing cumulative lifetime dividends to ₱388,360.35.
🔍 Portfolio Performance Notes
Unrealized Loss vs. Total Cash Received: The stock portfolio reflects an unrealized loss of -12.02% (-₱124,264.96). However, this is offset by the ₱388k+ in actual cash dividends collected over the 14-year period.
Top Contributors: Long-term financial holdings like Sun Life (SLF: +89.56%) and Manulife (MFC: +148.45%), along with select REITs (CREIT: +42.71%, RCR: +20.41%), continue to generate steady yields.
Overall Context: This stock portfolio accounts for roughly 8% of my total net asset portfolio, maintaining overall balance across my broader investment strategy.
