I posted before how I use MariBank to transfer my GCash balance and then send it to other banks with zero transfer fees. It was a good strategy—until one day I discovered that I could withdraw money from my GCash at zero fees.

Turns out, this feature has been sitting in my GCash app all along: GSave by CIMB.

Here’s how I withdraw my GCash money with 0 transfer fees instead of paying ₱15 for every bank transfer.

1. I open my GSave and deposit money into it. The funds are instantly transferred to my CIMB account for free.
2. Next, I open the CIMB app (you’ll need to install the CIMB app to take advantage of this feature).
3. Use the CIMB app to transfer the money to your Philippine bank account, like BDO, BPI, and others. Just like MariBank and other digital banks, CIMB also offers free bank transfers.

Now I don’t spend anything on my GCash cash-in/cash-out business. When my GCash balance grows, I withdraw it. When it’s running low, I transfer funds from my payroll account—which, thankfully, also started offering free transfers recently.

*Just transferred the funds to my BDO account and already withdrew the money. 😊 That’s why my GCash balance is now low. Also, my GSave balance in GCash doesn’t match my balance in the CIMB app because I also have ₱500 saved in UnoBank.

Delayed gratification isn’t always easy, but it’s one of the habits that helps build wealth over time. 💰📈

Done adding funds to my SLWIF in InvestaFunds.

I commit to investing ₱1000 every month in my SunLife World Income Fund. This is a dividend-paying fund.

Just tried MariBank’s Time Deposit, and I wasn’t expecting this… 👀

I parked part of my emergency fund in a time deposit to keep it separate from my wallet balance for everyday purchases. Pag-confirm ko ng deposit, na-credit agad yung interest sa account ko, while my principal stays in the time deposit until maturity.

Maliit na bagay, pero nakakatuwang makita agad na may kinita na ang ipon mo. 💚

I also like how it helps me separate money for emergencies from my monthly spending budget.

Slowly building wealth, one good money decision at a time

This month’s dividend: ₱1,347.

When I started investing in 2022, I received just ₱4 in dividends. It wasn’t impressive, but I kept going.

Month after month, I continued investing and reinvesting.

Now, those small efforts are starting to compound.

This journey reminds me that building wealth isn’t about chasing quick wins. It’s about staying consistent long enough for time to reward your patience.

From ₱4 to ₱1,347—and this is only the beginning. 💚

Latest update on my Global Tech Feeder Fund.

As of May 31, 2026:
Total invested: ₱35,100
Current Market Value: ₱53,811.79

Gain: ₱18,711.79 or 53.31%.

Ang bilis tumaas. I regret putting in only ₱1000 per month. I should have atleast doubled it. Now, I’m putting in 1,700 per month to complete the year 12k per year from 2023.

Total earnings earned since opening my Maribank is Php 622.62.

I have a Gcash business and everytime the Gcash balance reach over 50k, I transfer 50k to Maribank, then withdraw some by transferring to my bank at 0 fees when I need cash.

That means my money earns while it’s parked at Maribank.

I also saved a total of ₱4000 in bank transfers.

Started investing P500 per cutoff in January 2024, (and another 500 in Maya Savings, then decided to put 1k in Maya Savings on the 15th and 1k in Gfunds on the 30th to maximize the interest rates in Maya).

Building wealth is slow and boring, but it’s worth it.

Put our income from small grocery store to my Maya Savings, and by doing some tasks, interest is boosted up to 10% p.a.

With the total amount saved,
that’s 14.22+7.66=21.88 per day,
21.88*30=656.4 per month,
656.4*12=7,876.8 per year!
