It is not a religion you need to believe in.
When you get sick we pay.
When you die we pay.
When you grow old and retire. We pay.

Simple product. No need for 6/6 sale, or no need to make noise on your phone to remind you to shop.

This post is not to brag but to inspire everybody ๐Ÿ™‚

All these are my Manulife Policies, I have 2 Traditional Policies and the rest are VULs. Instead of putting my savings in the bank, I put it in the Insurance and our VUL/ UITF Investments.

My 1st policy year 2015 is more on protection, my premium monthly is 1,957.70 kay mao rah kaya sa akong budget that time, kana na policy is VUL (investment plus insurance) my retirement, hospitalization, critical illness and death benefit.

When I get married (2016) ni kuha nah sd ko ug lain protection, my 2nd policy which is traditional. More on insurance no savings portion.

And of course my husband, akoa gipakuha kay seafarer man xa pang retirement & business nya at the same time with protection also. (VUL & traditional)

After giving birth to my daughter, we decided to get for her future. Another policy nah sd pag 2017 and this year 2021. yes 2 policies para nya kay gamay rah kaau ang una nya na policy. we make sure makapa skwela mi nig college sa gusto nya..

So kani tanan inshort mga "expenses" namu.. but kani rah na expenses ma convert to "income" sa future.. it's the MINDSET nah kayanon namu tanan.. yes, I'm a paranoid mom because of the love of my family I need to be prepared. Kaning tanan, lesson learned from my father. Dili ko ganahan mag lisud ug mag ka unsahay man gani specially to my daughter.

Knowing how costly getting sick and having Health Insurance that covers to Critical Illness and Hospitalization Reimbursement are two different things.

A lot of those in the Medical Community are aware of the costs of sickness yet only a few of them got Health Insurance. (applies to the general population, I guess)

Is this because Filipinos are so used to "Bahala na" mentality?

This is one of my passion, to reach out to them and have them secure their future before the insurmountable bills arising from sickness could.

Let Insurance work for you. Send me a message.

Some lessons about money ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Must have EMERGENCY FUND - enough for 6 months of expenses/current lifestyle. Have a Health Emergency Fund too

2. SAVE MONEY and MONEY WILL SAVE YOU. Donโ€™t save what is left after spending. Only spend what is left after saving.

3. Best to have ZERO DEBT, if you canโ€™t pay cash, you CANโ€™T AFFORD it, nothing beats PEACE OF MIND.

4. Avoid unnecessary spendings, forget sale price, everything is 100% off when you donโ€™t buy it. Donโ€™t waste your money on things that you donโ€™t need, even if they are cheap. EVERY PESO COUNTS!

5. Learn to BUDGET - it is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went!

6. If we buy things that we donโ€™t need, we will have to SELL THINGS THAT WE NEED.

7. PRETENDING TO BE RICH can make us poor. Must learn to live BELOW MEANS. Donโ€™t go broke trying to look rich. ACT YOUR WAGE.

8. MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING, but we cannot deny the fact that we need money for our family.

Imagine you are retired at a healthy age of 75, and have restricted movement capabilities (due to age), restricted food choices (due to your health), restricted choice of hobbies to explore, and all the assets you have : are the only assets you will have. โ €
โ €
Today YOU are in exactly this condition, we have been forced to retireโ€ฆ how prepared do you feel? ๐Ÿค”โ €
โ €
Today You have restricted movement and restricted choice of food and hobbies and restricted income choices.. how ready are you? ๐Ÿค”โ €
โ €
Retirement can be voluntary or involuntary, voluntary is when you choose to retire, but in involuntary retirement you are FORCED to retire, this can also happen due to an illness.โ €
โ €
โฌ‡โฌ‡โฌ‡โ €
โ €
This is the BEST TIME for YOU to experience RETIREMENT and judge how well prepared you are for it.โ €
โ €
Age and Health in retirement along with Income sources will be your biggest Assets. Today is the best time to check how well prepared you are for it. If you are in your 30โ€™s or 40โ€™s, itโ€™s a wake up call. If you are in your 50โ€™s and 60โ€™s itโ€™s a reality check.โ €
โ €
โœ… Spend time this quarantine and examine how your income would continue, how dependant is your income on economic markets? and how guaranteed is your โ€œhypothetical incomeโ€ from Assets like Properties, Bonds, Government, Equities, Fixed Deposits and Annuities?โ €
โ €
How easy is it for you to overcome your liability exposures and how financially secure is your family?โ €
โ €
This is the best time to discuss your financials with your financial advisor and get clarity on what options you have to consider when doing financial planning.โ €
โ €
๐Ÿ“Œ Remember the Rule Of Thumb for your financial planning:โ €
1. Income protection due to illness should at least cover you for 5 years of your Incomeโ €
2. Income protection due to Death should at least cover 10 years of your Incomeโ €
3. 20% of your income should be put aside for your retirementโ €
4. 5% of your income should be kept aside for your kidโ€™s education
