We know this is not new to you. After all, you've been seeing this line on your invoices for years now. Right?

But here's the thing.

Under RR No. 6-2026, "Less: Withholding Tax" is now officially REQUIRED. It's no longer just a nice extra from your printer. So when your customer withholds, fill it in!

Quick check on your booklet: if it only says "Less: Withholding," or has no line at all, don't throw it away. Just stamp "Less: Withholding Tax" on your unused invoices and keep using them.

ARE YOU A SOLO PARENT? Then check your payslip. You should have ZERO DEDUCTION FOR PHILHEALTH!

Under the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (RA 11861) and PhilHealth Circular No. 2026-0015, a qualified solo parent employee no longer pays a share of the PhilHealth premium.

Let's break it down.

𝗤: 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄?
The premium is still paid in full, just by different parties:
• Employer: 50%
• National Government: 50%
• Solo parent employee: 0%

The government simply takes over the half that used to be deducted from the employee's salary.

𝗤: 𝗦𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵?
Wrong. The employer share is still due. If you stop the entire remittance, that's a compliance problem.

𝗤: 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱?
Solo parents recognized under RA 11861. A valid Solo Parent ID (S**C) matters because PhilHealth verifies status through the solo parent registration system.

𝗤: 𝗜𝗳 𝗜'𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗼?
• Keep your Solo Parent ID valid and renewed on time
• Ask HR to confirm your PhilHealth record shows your solo parent status
• Submit the documents they request
• Check your next payslip to see if the PhilHealth deduction is gone

𝗤: 𝗜𝗳 𝗜'𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗼?
• Identify your qualified solo parent employees
• Coordinate their registration and verification with PhilHealth
• Adjust payroll so the employee share is no longer deducted
• Keep remitting your employer share
