If the BIR changes the assigned examiner to your existing tax audit, BIR needs to give you a new LOA. If you haven't received a new one, use this as a solid ground to invalidate the assessment.

If you miss a full year of compliance, even with zero tax due,the compromise penalties for 30 missed forms under EOPT look like this:

1601C (Compensation) | 12 months = ₱6,000
0619E (Monthly EWT) | 8 months = ₱4,000
1601EQ (Quarterly EWT) | 4 quarters = ₱2,000
1701Q (Quarterly Income) | 3 quarters = ₱1,500
1604E & 1604C (Annual Info) | 2 forms = ₱1,000
1701 (Annual Income) | 1 form = ₱500
Alphalist Penalty (EOPT Annual Cap) = ₱12,500
🚨 Grand Total: ₱27,500

But let’s be honest. When you’re replying to customers at 9 PM, packing orders, computing payroll, and trying to keep your business alive, tax deadlines are the first thing to slide.

TBH, you shouldn’t have to choose between growing your business and staying out of the BIR's penalty box.

Don’t let this announcement ruin your Sunday night, but the SEC eFAST deadline for your 2025 Audited Financial Statements (AFS) is next Monday, June 15, 2026.

As per usual, we can expect delays and glitches in the online portal, especially the 1-2 days before the deadline and much more on the day of deadline itself. This can be a huge headache for those who are still trying to learn the portal, or those who have no patience or time to accomplish the filing (coz let’s be honest, running a corporation is not a walk in the park!).

If you are feeling overwhelmed, you are definitely not alone. Try to upload early to avoid penalties. Also, remember that weekend uploads do not count until Monday, so plan ahead!
