The scapular, the rosary, and the medals we wear are meaningful only when they lead us closer to the persons they represent: God and our Blessed Mother. Otherwise, they become mere objects without purpose.

In his Morning Talk, Fr. Segovia, SDB reminded us to look beyond the outward symbols of faith and devotion and to deepen our personal relationship with God and our Blessed Mother.

It is incredibly easy to treat religious objects like the scapular items as mere habits, routine fashion, or protective charms. However, an action or object is only as meaningful as the conscious connection we maintain with the Divine. When we forget the God and our Blessed Mother, behind these spiritual tools, we empty them of their actual purpose. A physical object cannot substitute for active prayer, love, and mindfulness of God's presence.

True devotion is not measured by what we wear, but by how we live the values they inspire.

In Don Bosco, the ๐ƒ๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐“๐š๐ฅ๐ค is a long standing Salesian tradition that has become an essential part of the school day. Before classes begin, the Bosconian community gathers not only for the flag raising ceremony but also to listen to an inspiring talk from our Salesians and Salesian Educators. These moments help form hearts rooted in faith, character, and service.

Here are a few highlights and reflections from Fr. Andales, SDB:

Respect becomes meaningful when it is lived out through our words and actions. Todayโ€™s Morning Talk, led by our Salesian Educator, Mrs. Escleva, reminded Bosconians that true greatness is not found in being served, but in serving others with humility, compassion, and joy.

The DBTI-Victorias community gathered in faith and unity to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, Today, July 5, 2026 at DBTI-V Chapel.

In the midst of a busy school week, Bosconian leaders, parents and students, and Salesian educators were reminded that God always makes space for them to pause, pray, and be fully present. The Mass became the sacred pauseโ€”a time to slow down, realign the hearts, and remember what truly matters through prayer and fellowship. Receiving fresh strength for the days ahead and a renewed sense of familiarity.

Today's homily reminded that " people often notice when they receive less, but rarely ask if they are giving less." Fairness begins with what we give first. According to St. Don Bosco, we are called to love with kindness first, and to trust that God will return it in fullโ€”Let us give first, and God will do the rest.

The mass gathering ended with meaningful blessings and re-distribution of Mary Help of Christians statues. The blessed images were given to Bosconian parents that are present during the mass, presenting the blessed's maternal protection.

As part of the implementation of the Easy Engagement provision of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Don Bosco Technical Institute of Victorias, Inc. (DBTI) and the Technological University of the Philippines โ€“ Visayas (TUP-V), representatives from both institutions convened for an initial coordination meeting on June 24, 2026, at the TUP-Visayas Campus.

Leading the DBTI delegation were School Principal Fr. Rhine B. Bollozos, SDB, and External Relations Focal Person Maria Cherry B. Butanas. They met with Engr. Patrick John G. Delumpa, PhD, Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, and Mrs. Rutchel E. Pabalinas, Head of External Affairs, Linkages & Consortia, to discuss the initial plans and collaborative initiatives under the partnership.

The meeting focused on establishing practical mechanisms for collaboration aligned with the Easy Engagement framework, which promotes accessible, responsive, and sustainable institutional partnerships. Priority areas included academic exchanges, faculty and student development, research collaboration, extension initiatives, and industry linkages.

This initial engagement marks another milestone in DBTI Victorias' commitment to building strategic partnerships that enrich learning opportunities and strengthen the connection between education and industryโ€”remaining true to its mission of forming young people who are technically competent, morally upright, and socially responsible.
