Threshold for classification of companies under the Companies Act 2017 has been amended via SRO 602/2022.

An unlisted company would now be classified as a 'Large Sized Company' if its turnover is greater then Rs. 800 Million (previously Rs. 1 Billion).

Furthermore, a private company would now be classified as a 'Medium Sized Company' if its turnover is greater then Rs. 150 Million (Previously Rs. 100 Million).

The said classification affects the accounting framework applicable for the company and the extent of disclosures required in their financial statements.
