Gwadar Eastbay Expressway, the most important mega connectivity and road infrastructure project of worth 179 million dollars would be open for traffic from May 16.

An official from the Gwadar Port Authority told the media that the completion of the Eastbay Expressway, which is being built as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, will provide primary connectivity between the Port and its Free Zone and the network of National Highways, allowing for smooth logistic transportation of import, export, and transit goods.

He claimed the six-lane road would go through Gwadar Port's 2,281-acre free trade zone and connect the port to the Makran Coastal Highway.

He stated that the Gwadar Eastbay Expressway would be a significant step in realising Gwadar Port's full potential for trade.
