A.F. Ferguson & Co. Hosts Exclusive Masterclass on Governing Cybersecurity in the AI Era

As AI rapidly transforms the way we work, serve customers, and compete, cybersecurity has become a top management and boardroom priority - no longer just an IT issue. It now stands as a core pillar of digital trust.

In response to this evolving landscape, A.F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of the PwC network) hosted an exclusive One Day Masterclass titled “Governing Cybersecurity in the AI Era – Digital Trust, Risk & Resilience” on January 22, 2026, inaugurated by Salman Hussain, Territory Senior Partner, A.F Ferguson & Co. at the Marriott Hotel Karachi.

The event brought together more than 100 senior tech and business leaders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CFOs, CIAs, risk professionals, and experts from diverse industries, creating a rich forum for collaboration and learning.

The session was expertly led by Saad Kaliya, Partner at A.F. Ferguson & Co., and Syed Abdul Qadir, Executive Director at A.F. Ferguson & Co. We were also honored to host Dr. Erdal Ozkaya, CISO at Morgan State University and President of the Global CISO Forum, as our international guest speaker. Dr. Ozkaya’s insights into the intersection of AI and cybersecurity significantly enriched the discussions.

Ferguson & Co. has been honored with the Gender Equity & Inclusion Excellence Award at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) Diversity and Inclusion Awards 2025. This recognition underscores our commitment to fostering a gender-balanced workplace through targeted strategies in recruitment, retention, and advancement of women.

Our efforts over the past five years include increasing female representation in leadership, implementing flexible work policies, and leveraging data-driven metrics to track progress. As of June 2025, women comprise significant portions of our workforce with a total female headcount of 513, including 2 partners, 4 directors, and 7 senior managers.
