The above list is for the persons, who are required to submit tax return.
However, there is no minimum limit for becoming filer, anyone can become Filer to avail benefits of lower tax on filers.
Filing tax return doesn’t necessarily mean you have to pay tax. If your income is below taxable limit, or exempt, or tax is already deducted (as in case of salaried person, bank profits), you are just required to submit your tax return, declaring income & tax already deducted, you don’t need to pay any additional taxes on it.
In fact, if you have no income/ exempt income, you can claim refund of tax paid during the year (tax on mobile phone, cash withdrawal, token tax, internet, ètc).
To check, if you are have NTN registered or not, go to this website ( https://iris.fbr.gov.pk/login ), scroll down, click on "Taxpayer Profile Inquiry" and check if you are already registered or not.
If yes, you are required to submit tax return,
If No, then if you dont fall in the above list, ignore and chill.
