Fasting is not just about enduring hunger or thirst, but about restraining the tongue, eyes, ears, hands, and thoughts as well. Our tongue should not hurt anyone, no lies should be spoken, and our eyes should not gaze at anything unlawful. In essence, fasting means completely surrendering oneself to Allah.
Hazrat Ameer Abdul Qadeer Awan (دامت برکاتہم العالیہ) emphasizes that fasting is not merely about abstaining from food and drink but about staying away from all evils and shaping our lives according to the will of Allah. May Allah grant us the ability to reap the blessings of Ramadan. Ameen.
