For nearly five decades, WCCIP member Farakh Naz has dedicated herself to preserving the timeless art of cross-stitch embroidery, carrying forward a precious tradition passed down through generations. Since learning the craft from her mother in 1975, she has transformed simple threads and fabric into remarkable works of art, keeping an important part of our cultural heritage alive.

Her recent recognition by the Nukta Pakistan is a proud moment not only for her but for the entire Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Peshawar. Through her commitment, creativity, and resilience, she continues to demonstrate how women entrepreneurs can safeguard traditional skills while creating economic opportunities through craftsmanship.

Access to finance remains one of the most significant barriers women entrepreneurs face. Meaningful change begins when the right conversations happen at the right level.

President WCCIP Qurat Ul Ain met with Javed Marath, Chief of State Bank of Pakistan — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for a productive meeting focused on potential collaborations between WCCIP and SBP KP, and the challenges women business owners face in accessing formal finance.The discussion centered on bridging the gap between women entrepreneurs and financial institutions, exploring how SBP KP and WCCIP can work together to improve financial inclusion for women across the region.

Secretary General WCCIP Saba Hidayat and Ms. Rabiya were also present during the meeting.WCCIP continues to take women's economic concerns to the highest tables — because lasting change is built through dialogue, advocacy, and strategic partnerships.

Many women in our communities start with limited resources but a strong will to move forward. With the right information and access, they build businesses that support their families and their futures.

In an awareness session held today, President WCCIP Qurat Ul Ain introduced WCCIP members to the team of HEWT Foundation
— a Karachi-based non-profit registered with SECP, working towards sustainable socio-economic development through interest-free microfinance, business support, and women's empowerment programs.

Members were briefed on HEWT Foundation's key offerings:
— Interest-free Qarz-e-Hasna loans for business startup or expansion
— PKR 80M+ disbursed, with PKR 70M+ recovered for sustainability
— Support for tailoring, embroidery, beauty, retail, transport, food, and livestock enterprises
— 4,000+ beneficiaries empowered, 60% of whom are women
— 350+ active businesses supported
— Community-Based Selection ensuring fairness and transparency
— Fintech-enabled digital disbursement and repayment systems
— Sharia-compliant, Takaful-protected programs operating across Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Thanadar.

Vice President WCCIP Zareen Akhtar and Secretary General WCCIP Saba Hidayat were also present on this occasion, reaffirming WCCIP's commitment to connecting its members with every resource that can support their economic growth.

WCCIP does not just advocate for women in business — it opens doors and ensures no member walks alone on her entrepreneurial journey.

ہمارے معاشرے میں بہت سی خواتین محدود وسائل کے باوجود آگے بڑھنے کا حوصلہ رکھتی ہیں۔ صحیح معلومات اور رسائی مل جائے تو وہ اپنے خاندان کے لیے بہتر مستقبل بنا سکتی ہیں۔

آج ایک آگاہی نشست میں صدر ویمن چیمبر نے اپنے اراکین کو ایک اہم سماجی ادارے سے متعارف کرایا — جو کراچی میں قائم ایک غیر منافع بخش تنظیم ہے، جو سود سے پاک قرضے، کاروباری معاونت، اور خواتین کی معاشی ترقی کے لیے کام کر رہی ہے۔

اراکین کو بتایا گیا کہ یہ ادارہ درزی، کڑھائی، بیوٹی، خوردہ فروشی، نقل و حمل، خوراک اور مویشیوں جیسے شعبوں میں مدد فراہم کرتا ہے۔ اب تک ہزاروں خواتین اس سے مستفید ہو چکی ہیں اور سیکڑوں کاروبار آگے بڑھ چکے ہیں۔ تمام لین دین جدید ڈیجیٹل نظام کے ذریعے، شفافیت اور اسلامی اصولوں کے مطابق ہوتا ہے۔

نائب صدر اور سیکرٹری جنرل بھی اس موقع پر موجود رہیں، جو ویمن چیمبر کے اس عزم کی عکاسی کرتا ہے کہ ہر رکن کو ہر وہ موقع ملے جو اس کی زندگی بدل سکے۔

A significant milestone for strengthening women-led entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

President WCCIP Qurat Ul Ain signed an MoU with SeedRise KP Fund to promote startup pipeline development, investment readiness, ecosystem data sharing, and investment linkages for women entrepreneurs.

Under this collaboration, WCCIP will facilitate access to its extensive network of women-led businesses across trade, services, manufacturing, agri-based, and home-based sectors to identify and support high-potential ventures for inclusion in the SeedRise startup pipeline. The Chamber will also assist women entrepreneurs in improving investment readiness through financial documentation, business formalization, and investor engagement preparation.

The partnership further focuses on ecosystem data sharing, enabling better insights into women-led enterprises across KP for informed decision-making and pipeline development. Both parties will also jointly organize ecosystem engagement activities such as investor forums, demo days, and capacity-building sessions to strengthen market and investment linkages.

This MoU reflects WCCIP’s continued commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs by expanding their access to capital, opportunities, and structured growth pathways.
