Considering the direct correlation between EOBI contributions and the government-set minimum wages, it is important to note that these contributions have also been raised. The revised rates for employer and employee contributions to EOBI are outlined below for your convenience:
Employer Contribution:
• 5% of Minimum Wages
• Rs. 1,600/- per insured person per month w.e.f. 1st July, 2023 and onwards
Employee Contribution:
• 1% of Minimum Wages
• Rs. 320/- per insured person per month w.e.f. 1st July, 2023 and onwards

The updated EOBI rates are now in effect starting from July 1st, 2023
