Just look at these beauties! 😍 The intricate embroidery you can see in the reel is the work of the amazing team at Fabrica Cacti! 🪡❤️

They created these pieces especially for us for the Lasowiacy Culture Festival, based on the traditional patterns of Zofia Dąbrowska. During the event, they decorated our workshop and children's activity areas, giving them a truly authentic and unique atmosphere.

And we have to mention one more thing – Fabrica Cacti uses outstanding-quality linen! It's wonderfully thick, substantial, and has an amazing feel to it. It's almost a shame to use it only for decorations! This linen would be perfect for:

• Elegant tablecloths and napkins.
• Eco-friendly shopping bags.

Dear friends, customers, and fellow enthusiasts of history,

As some of you may know, since January we have been going through an appeal process regarding the removal of Fabrica Cacti's social media accounts by Meta. We remain hopeful that the issue will eventually be resolved and that access to our previous profiles will be restored.

However, after several months of waiting, we decided that we do not want to remain on hold any longer.

Fabrica Cacti has been active for 15 years. We continue to create, travel, attend events, fulfill commissions, and meet with fellow reenactors and history enthusiasts across Europe. For that reason, we have decided to return to Instagram and begin rebuilding our community there.

Early on Monday morning, we finally completed our long journey to Xanten and returned safely home.

Xanten is a remarkable place for anyone passionate about the ancient world and Roman history. For us, however, this year's event was special for another reason. We will not comment on the museum's decisions regarding trade by craftsmen and reenactors. Instead, we would like to focus on what truly made this event memorable: the opportunity to meet all of you.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our camp and stopped by our display. Thank you for every kind word, every handshake, every question about our craft, and for the many conversations that reminded us why we have dedicated so many years of our lives to this passion. We sincerely hope that many of these encounters will lead to future projects and that our paths will cross again somewhere along the Roman road.

Special thanks go to Legio XXI Rapax , whose hospitality made our participation in this event possible. We have been part of this legion for many years as active members, reenactors, and craftsmen, always ready to contribute our knowledge and experience. What the legion achieved during this gathering was truly impressive. Seeing a full century marching through the event grounds was an unforgettable sight and a testament to what can be accomplished through dedication, discipline, and teamwork.

It is no exaggeration to say that Legio XXI Rapax remains the largest Roman reenactment group in the world, and witnessing its continued growth is something we are proud to be a part of. One can only wonder what ambitious goal the command staff will set for the future.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the members of Hellas et Roma who joined us in Xanten. Special thanks go to the Roman ladies whose presence, elegance, and dedication brought life, authenticity, and a unique atmosphere to our camp and merchant display. My thanks also go to the legionaries of Hellas et Roma who supported us throughout the event with their enthusiasm, hard work, and willingness to help whenever needed. Their contribution played an important role in making this journey such a success. Events like Xanten are built not only on equipment, displays, and historical knowledge, but above all on the people who bring them to life. Thank you for being part of th who joined us in Xanten. Dear Friends,

Many of you have asked whether it will be possible to purchase our products directly at this year's event in Xanten.

Unfortunately, according to the event regulations, reenactment groups and craftsmen participating in the living history displays are not permitted to sell their products on site. This means that although we will be bringing a wide range of interesting items with us, they will be available for display and demonstration only.

We must admit that this is a little disappointing for us. Over the years, we have invested an enormous amount of time, effort, and passion into researching historical sources, recreating ancient craftsmanship, and producing high-quality items inspired by the Roman world. One of the most rewarding aspects of our work is not only creating these objects but also sharing them with people who share our enthusiasm for history.

Nevertheless, we warmly invite everyone attending Xanten to come and meet us. You will find us in the camp of Legio XXI Rapax, where you will be able to see our work up close, discuss historical craftsmanship and reenactment, and examine a variety of products, including the helmet currently being crafted in our workshop, our handcrafted gladii, wooden products, terra sigillata pottery, vegetable-tanned leather, and many other items inspired by the ancient world.

For those who enjoy making their own equipment, we will also have samples of our vegetable-tanned leather, available in both straps and larger hides, which we will be happy to discuss with interested craftsmen and reenactors.

This week, we are setting off on another great adventure!

Our destination is Xanten – one of the most important Roman heritage sites in Europe, where reenactors, craftsmen, history enthusiasts, and thousands of visitors from around the world gather every year.

Of course, Fabrica Cacti will be there as well. Throughout the event, you will be able to visit our merchant stand, see our products up close, talk with us about reenactment, craftsmanship, and history, and place custom orders for equipment made to your specifications.

This year we are bringing a truly diverse selection of goods. At our stand, you will find everything from Roman military equipment – including two gladii handcrafted by Fabrica Cacti, pila, and various accessories for reenactors – to high-quality everyday items. We will have premium wooden bowls, terra sigillata pottery that is sure to impress every admirer of the ancient world, as well as amber jewelry, tunics, blankets, hats, and many other items inspired by life two thousand years ago.

For those who enjoy making things with their own hands, we will also be bringing vegetable-tanned leather. It will be available not only in the form of straps and belts, but also as larger pieces and full hides, making it an excellent opportunity to stock up on quality material for your next leatherworking project.

Visitors will also be able to see one of our handcrafted helmets displayed as part of the Fabrica Cacti showcase. This is a unique opportunity to examine the craftsmanship, construction, and finishing details up close. If you have ever considered commissioning a custom Roman helmet, you will be able to discuss the project directly with us, choose specifications, and place an order on site.

We have not forgotten the youngest visitors either. Our stand will feature a selection of wooden toys, allowing children to step away from the modern world for a moment and discover the world of ancient craftsmen, warriors, and explorers.
If you are planning to order a pair of custom-made Roman shoes, this will be a perfect opportunity to meet us in person and have your feet measured. Nothing can replace a proper fitting, and well-made footwear is the foundation of comfort at any reenactment event.

You will find us in the camp of Legio XXI Rapax , where together with friends from across Europe we will be helping to create one of the largest and most impressive Roman camps at the event. And so the end of May has arrived!
A time of even more intense work and trips to reconstruction events is beginning – the real test of our work. Our armour, shoes, and garments are prepared for you every single day with sweat, joy, and love.

There may be a little less of us here lately, but we promise to make up for it as soon as possible! Our workshops are filled with work, the sound of machines, and all the materials needed to create your orders.

Very soon, at the beginning of June, you will meet us in Xanten, at the site of the magnificent reconstructed Roman city – Colonia Ulpia Traiana – but we will share more details about that soon.

A Time of Change at Fabrica Cacti. Focusing on the Future and New Possibilities

Dear Friends and Clients,

the past year at Fabrica Cacti has been a time of major changes for us, both professionally and privately. Some members of our team have moved to new homes, and the Cactvs family has also grown with a new member, Aleksander. Some of you may have already met him, because before even turning one year old, he had already attended historical reenactment events. It seems his path was chosen very early.

At the same time, we went through the process of moving from our old workshop into a completely new space. It required a tremendous amount of work, stress, and investment, but it also opened entirely new possibilities for us. The new workshop gives us room to grow, improve our organization, and finally develop ideas for which we previously lacked both time and space.

There are also many changes happening in the private lives of our team members. A lot is happening, on every level, and all at once. Because of that, we have started asking ourselves what Fabrica Cacti should truly become today as a company created by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

We are currently analyzing our business model, drawing conclusions, and searching for the best direction forward. It is still too early for definitive answers, but one thing is certain: soon we will come to you with questions of our own. We want to better understand your needs and learn how we can support your passions, projects, and reenactment activities even more effectively.

The first major change is the decision to temporarily suspend accepting orders related to blacksmithing work, especially knives and swords. Orders for armor projects are currently being accepted with delivery dates scheduled for autumn and winter of this year.

This does not mean that this chapter is closed forever. Quite the opposite. Limiting one branch of our activity will allow us to fully focus on other areas that we want to develop more consciously and with greater dedication. We do not exclude returning to blacksmithing and sword making in the future, but we want to do so only when we can dedicate the proper amount of time, energy, and attention to it.

Regarding all active sword and dagger orders, we will contact each of you individually in order to discuss and establish the best way forward.

Changes do not always happen exactly as we would wish, but one thing remains unchanged. We keep moving forward.
