Why Ownership Matters More Than Hard Work

Many people believe the path to wealth is simply working harder or earning more. But true financial freedom doesn’t come from trading time for money, it comes from ownership.

When you own equity, whether in a business, brand, or investment, your income is no longer limited by your hours. You earn even when you’re not working: while you rest, while you’re on vacation, and long after you’ve stopped “clocking in.”

That’s the difference between earning a living and building wealth.

As family wealth planner, we have the privilege of doing both — helping our investors own quality businesses through equities, while at the same time building our own practice that we ourselves own.

Had a great discussion and learned a lot from him together with my fellow Business Leader comrades, Adi who joined the company 13 years ago, the same time as me. Last but not least our promising investment researcher and analyst, Noel who had double degree from NTU.

So much focus in investing is on what people can do right now, this year, maybe next year. “What are the best returns I can earn?”seems like such an intuitive question to ask.
