🚗 “It’s just a 5-minute drive down the road, it’ll be fine.”**

As parents, we’ve probably all thought this at least once. But a recent article by The Straits Times highlighted a heartbreaking reminder from KKH doctors: **accidents don’t care how short your journey is.**

In the report, KKH shared a devastating case where a mother took her crying 2-month-old baby out of the car seat for just a moment. Seconds later, a collision happened. Even though the baby was held tightly in her arms, the impact caused a severe brain bleed requiring urgent neurosurgery.

KKH treats about 400 children for road traffic injuries every single year. Shockingly, data shows that 80% of children aged 9 and below involved in these accidents *were not buckled into car seats or proper restraints.*

As a financial consultant, my job goes beyond managing wealth—it’s about protecting what matters most to you. Reading this article really hit home, and it reminded me that safety and protection always come in two layers:

1️⃣ **Physical Protection:** Always, always buckle your little ones up in an age-appropriate car seat or booster seat. Even if they cry, even if it’s just a quick trip to the nearby mall. It is truly a matter of life and death.

2️⃣ **Financial Protection:** While we do everything we can to prevent accidents, the unforeseen can still happen. A dedicated child accident plan acts as that extra safety net. If an accident occurs, it ensures your child gets immediate, top-tier medical care without you ever having to worry about sudden, heavy financial stress or hospital bills.

We can’t predict the road ahead, but we can make sure our children are fully shielded—both in the back seat and on paper.

If you want to review your little one’s current coverage or find out how to set up a simple, affordable accident plan for peace of mind, drop me a message. Let’s make sure your family is safely covered. 🤍

🐊 Singapore beach got crocodile sightings… and now this moral dilemma appears! 😅

Who would you save first?

❤️ Partner / Spouse
👵 Mother (especially with Mother’s Day around the corner!)
👬 Best Friend
💰 $450 Million

Wrong answer and you may not survive the crocodile… or the family WhatsApp group. 😂

My answer? Save Mother first. After all, there is only one Mum, and Mother’s Day is coming. ❤️🌷

And here’s the financial twist:
In real life, we can’t save everyone from every emergency — but we can protect the people who matter most.

That’s exactly what insurance is for:
✅ Protecting your loved ones
✅ Preserving your wealth
✅ Giving peace of mind when life gets unpredictable

Because when the crocodiles of life show up, the best rescue plan is the one you prepared in advance. 🛟

So… who would YOU save first? 👇

One morning, Fatima Nathan—an avid CrossFitter who worked out 5x a week—woke up to find her legs had tripled in size. 🤯

She was diagnosed with UCTD, a rare autoimmune condition. But here’s the scary part: beyond the physical pain, the financial strain was overwhelming.

Fatima shared that:
✅ Not every test is covered by government subsidies because they are too specialized.
✅ Some tests even had to be sent overseas for analysis.
✅ She had to keep working while managing intense nerve pain and fatigue just to keep up.

This is a wake-up call. Medical “loopholes” exist, especially for rare or complex conditions that require long-term treatment and specialized care.

Proper insurance isn’t just about hospital bills—it’s about having the financial freedom to stop working and focus on healing without worrying about how to pay for the next test or month’s rent. 🛡️

Don’t wait for a “one morning” moment to check your coverage.

☕ Let’s grab a coffee. I’ll help you review your current policy to ensure you’re fully protected against the unexpected. DM me to chat!

Over the past few years, the structure has changed:

• 2018 – Minimum 5% co-payment introduced
• 2023 – Cancer Drug List claim limits
• 2025 – MediShield Life claim limit increased to $200K
• 2026 – New riders cannot cover deductibles

The goal is simple:
Keep healthcare sustainable while still protecting large medical bills. But it also means patients need to understand their coverage more than ever.

If you’re unsure how much your hospital plan really covers, let’s review it together.

Another year older… but still fabulous (just with better lighting and more naps 😄)

Feeling super grateful to be surrounded by friends—old and new—who took time to celebrate with me, laugh with me, and remind me that life just keeps getting better.

These days, I’ve learned a few important things:
✨ Care less about what people think
✨ Appreciate the little moments more
✨ And always say yes to good food and great company

Thank you for the love, the laughter, and the memories. You all made this celebration feel so warm, so fun, and so me ❤️

Here’s to more adventures, more laughter… and maybe remembering where I put my phone next time 🤭

Hey everyone! 🇸🇬🇲🇾 Did you catch the recent Straits Times news?

I know many of our Malaysian friends who commute daily to Singapore are feeling relieved about the new insurance scheme being discussed. Bridging that “grey area” is so important because, let’s be real, the cost of living (and medical care!) is no joke.

Here are a few things that many workers are worried about:

1. The “Hospital Phobia” 🏥
Many workers are terrified of stepping into a Singapore hospital because they fear the bill will wipe out their savings. Because of this, some might delay treatment for injuries, which only makes things worse.

2. The “Hidden” Policy Details 📄
A lot of employees aren’t actually sure what their company insurance covers. “Got cover” is one thing, but “how much cover” is another. Many find out too late that their employer-provided plan has very low limits.

3. The Gap Between Work and Home 🏍️
This is the most “suay” (unlucky) part: your company insurance usually only covers you during work hours or for work-related tasks. What happens if you get into a tumble on the BKE while heading home after your shift? Or if you trip and fall during your rest day? Usually, your work insurance won’t pay out for those “personal time” accidents.

Peace of mind for less than a cup of Kopi? ☕
You don’t need a huge budget to protect yourself. Did you know that an affordable accident plan can cost less than $4 a day? That’s basically the price of your afternoon snack, but it ensures that if anything happens—whether you’re at work, at home, or commuting in between—you don’t have to worry about the hospital bills.

Don’t wait for something to happen before you check your coverage. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!

If you’re unsure about what your current company insurance actually covers or want to see how an accident plan fits your budget, feel free to reach out. Always happy to chat and help you clear the confusion.

Finally, some recognition for the Eczema community! 🕊️

MOH’s plan to potentially include eczema under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) is a huge win. For many of us, this means being able to tap into MediSave and subsidies for treatments that were previously 100% out-of-pocket.

As someone who has spent a small fortune on steroid creams, moisturisers, and hypoallergenic everything, I know the financial toll is just as real as the physical one. It’s why I do what I do—to help you ensure your financial health is as resilient as your skin needs to be.

If you’re feeling the pinch of medical inflation or just want to make sure your insurance/savings are actually ‘eczema-ready,’ my door is always open. Let’s streamline your portfolio together.
