I've watched people wait years for the "right time" to begin something.
And that "right time" never seem to come.

The ones who ended up succeeding eventually never waited for this "right time".

Starting late isn't the problem. Never starting is.
At 37, I started a new language from Zero, knowing the head start was gone.

But i still started anyway.
Small. Bit by bit every day.

Most people never ask what they're living for. Then one day, the question asks them.
For me it wasn't a crisis. Just a ride back home and one thought that kept appearing: if today repeated for 10 years, would I want that life?

The Japanese call it ikigai η”Ÿγη”²ζ–, the reason you get up in the morning. Here's my version on it. Something smaller, and daily.

What I've discovered after 13 years in my industry, meeting people from all walks of life.

You don't find your IKIGAI, you build it.

1% at a time, across four levers; Money, Mindset, Career, Relationships.

I made a free 1% Life Journal to help you see where you stand on all four, and spot the one quietly running on empty.

In the last 2 decades or so, the smart move in Singapore was a stable job. In 2026, that "safe" choice is quietly the riskiest one you can make.

We inherited one rule: get a stable job, keep your head down, stay loyal. It built our parents' lives, so we never questioned it.

But the ground moved while the advice stayed the same. Restructuring, cost-cutting, and AI absorbing the predictable parts of white-collar work.

A "secure job" was never security. It's renting your whole income from one boss who can end the lease in a single email. Real security is being capable enough that you'd be fine even if you lost it tomorrow.

If your job is gone next month, does that break you, or free you?

I recently wrote this 1% Life Journal. Comment "1% Life" and I'll send you a copy to build your IKIGAI

You can be slow
You can be small
You can be tired

But as long as you remain in the game,
you’ll reach your destination 1 day.

Who feels the same way too?

Slow progress beats no progress and no progress beats no action. Not the fastest or smartest here but I believe if someone is willing to put in effort long enough, they can be somewhere one day.

Talent x Effort = Skill
Skill x Effort = Achievement

Notice effort shows up twice.

Thankful to for all these opportunities given & for arranging this token of appreciation.

What are you thankful for this weekend?

With many social media platforms offering free content, it can be confusing to consume all at one go. This leads to this question of which platform to learn at. ⁣
⁣
IMO, all media platforms have its native way of presenting content. Tiktok brings you super short videos whereas YouTube gives you a longer form. IG works very well for beautiful visuals. So you see it all depends.⁣
⁣
Pick a platform that you enjoy the most and research further in other platforms before making any decisions.⁣⁣⁣⁣
