The question isn’t whether AI will transform your business. The question is whether your cyber strategy will evolve quickly enough to keep pace with the transformation.

Many organisations still govern cyber as a technology function and AI as an innovation initiative. That separation is becoming dangerous. Cybersecurity has become a foundational component of AI adoption, not a checkpoint at the end of a project. What is the new leadership challenge?

As wealthy individuals, families and businesses become increasingly global, navigating wealth transition, succession planning, philanthropy, international mobility and tax considerations requires both local insight and cross-border expertise. The conference provided a platform for delegates to exchange perspectives on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of private wealth advisory.

We were privileged to have Joanna Steiner, Faye Ong and Jake Davies from J.P. Morgan join us for an insightful panel discussion on wealth transition, next-generation education and philanthropy.

Delegates were also welcomed by Mark Po***ck (Leader, Private Clients, BDO Australia), Frankie Chia (Managing Partner, BDO Singapore) and Abner Koh (PCS Executive Director, BDO Singapore), who emphasised the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the global PCS community.

From global tax developments to local opportunities, Sharnie Mitchell (National Leader of Tax, BDO Australia) shared the key priorities and focus areas shaping global tax leadership, while Kylie Luo (PCS Leader & Executive Director, BDO Singapore) provided an overview of Singapore's appeal as a leading financial hub.

Through thought-provoking presentations, case studies and knowledge-sharing sessions, the conference highlighted the importance of collaboration across jurisdictions in helping private clients navigate complex wealth, tax and succession matters with confidence.

Beyond the sessions, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange perspectives and deepen connections across the global PCS community, reinforcing the strength of BDO's international network and our shared commitment to delivering coordinated advice across jurisdictions and generations.

Thank you to all speakers, delegates and organisers, and especially to our colleagues across the BDO global network and guest speakers from J.P. Morgan, for contributing to a successful and memorable conference.

In collaboration with our partner, Netrust Pte Ltd, BDO hosted a joint exhibition booth where our cybersecurity professionals engaged with business leaders, government representatives, technology practitioners and cybersecurity professionals from across the region. Our team shared insights on how organisations can navigate today's cybersecurity challenges while enabling secure business growth and digital transformation.

BDO's participation at SICW and GovWare 2026 underscores our dedication to staying at the forefront of cybersecurity developments and working alongside trusted partners to help organisations build cyber confidence. TPMinds Asia 2026, held from 29 to 30 September, brought together transfer pricing and tax professionals from across the region for two days of insightful discussions on the evolving challenges facing multinational organisations. As a Gold Partner of the event, our BDO transfer pricing leadership team, comprising Koh Yun Qi (BDO Singapore), IGA Erna (BDO Indonesia) and Joel Philips (BDO Australia), participated in three engaging panel discussions.

Koh Yun Qi from BDO Singapore moderated a panel discussion on "Designing a Robust TP Policy", where industry leaders discussed how organisations can bridge the gap between policy design and practical ex*****on. The conversation highlighted the importance of operational transfer pricing, governance, technology, data integrity and maintaining robust documentation in an increasingly scrutinised tax environment.

IGA Erna from BDO Indonesia moderated a session on communicating transfer pricing and tax governance to boards and senior management. Panellists shared explored how to translate technical tax concepts into business language, helping decision-makers better understand transfer pricing through the lens of risk management, governance and commercial decision-making.

Joel Phillips led a discussion on managing transfer pricing scrutiny relating to intercompany services and global mobility. Drawing on experiences across multiple jurisdictions, the panel shared examined the importance of commercial rationale, contemporaneous evidence, evolving allocation methodologies and the growing impact of technology and AI on transfer pricing arrangements.

Across the sessions, a common theme was the growing need for transfer pricing frameworks to go beyond technical compliance. Organisations must ensure that transfer pricing policies are supported by strong governance, robust documentation, quality data and effective cross-functional collaboration to navigate an increasingly complex business and regulatory environment.

Thank you to the TP Minds Asia organising team, panellists and attendees for the engaging discussions and valuable insights shared throughout the conference.

Giving back often means showing up when it matters most.

While many spent a well-deserved Sunday with loved ones, 30 BDO volunteers participated in the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) Community Giveback Programme, supporting about 100 beneficiaries through a grocery-shopping initiative. Our volunteers were paired with beneficiaries, assisting them in selecting groceries and household essentials, locating items, carrying baskets, and navigating checkouts. They also shared healthy eating tips and encouraged informed food choices throughout the afternoon.

Thank you to Mr David Hoe Teck Chye, Member of Parliament for Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC (Clementi division), for joining us, meeting the beneficiaries, and addressing our volunteers.

This initiative demonstrates BDO Singapore's commitment to partnering with organisations that create positive social impact. It reinforces our belief that People Helping People is more than a value; it guides how we connect, contribute, and strengthen our communities.
