IS IT MORE ADVANTAGEOUS FOR F & B COMPANY TO REGISTER GST?

I often recieve this question from F & B client.

"If my F & B outlet incurs high GST payment to suppliers, rental cost, renovation cost, purchase of assets, furnitures and fittings and/or any other expenditure that requires the Company to pay GST yet our revenue has not reach the 1 million mark. Should we go for voluntary GST registration. Would it be more advantages for us to do so."

The answer is depends.

If your input GST payment far exceeds the cost of quarterly bookkkeeping fee then it is definitely more beneficial to be GST registered.

However, do note that all your sales invoices will then have to include the GST 7% (current rate).
