Here we are once again…tax time!!! E-filing began yesterday, so whenever you are ready I am as well. Last year was not a smooth transition. Not only was I extremely sick, the IRS was riddled with a lot of problems. Currently there are millions of tax returns still needing to be processed from 2020 tax year.

I know I let quite a few of my clients down. Believe me when I say I let myself down worse. Just to let you know how sick I was I was hospitalized 11 times. The last hospitalization was in January 2021. I was actually on Life Support that time. So I was very I’ll with Chronic Bronchitis and Congestive Heart Failure. I’ve had a Defibrillator implanted in my chest which is doing it’s job!!! My Bronchitis is finally diagnosed (after 11 months and numerous ambulance rides)and my meds are ironed out. Needless to say, it’s been a rough road for myself and if it was rough for you as well, I’m sorry. I know timelines weren’t met for a few of my clients, phone calls weren’t returned in a timely manner and I wasn’t available often times. For this I truly am sorry and embarrassed. However I am feeling very good, and certain I am able to provide the service you had become accustomed to.

For those of you I failed I wouldn’t blame you for not returning. However, if you would like to give me another chance I’d be happy to take it and will give you my all. By the way, my daughter was looking through ratings and accreditations with the Better Business. Bureau and we have an A+ rating. It’s my understanding I am the only Tax Preparer in town with a good rating. Isn’t that awesome? Makes me happy!!!

Upon starting to complete a Tax Return today I saw Tax Season officially opens up on the 21st. That is when the forms will be E-File ready.
Wow...that snuck up on me. I thought I still had about 10 days to get some wrinkles out before filing tax returns. Apparently I need to start working nights.
Having said all of that I just want to let you know I’m here and ready to get busy. Only 3 days away until those returns can be e-filed. Be an early bird and get your refund sooner than later. I think I’ll start mine tonight.
I would like to say I am so thankful for my clients. Recently my business was featured in the newspaper business section. It was very nice and I am honored to have been chosen to feature my business. The timing of the write up couldn’t have been better. I have received quite a few new clients from the article. If it weren’t for my loyal clients returning year after year I would not be successful. I love my job and I love my clients...well most of them!!! I am grateful to all of you for my success and for making my job enjoyable.

It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again. Yes, tax season is just a hop, skip and jump away. Currently my calendar is wide open, but it will fill up quickly. So you might want to schedule your appointment sooner than later.

If you are not currently my client you might want to consider a change. My fees are at least half of what other Tax Services charge. Most times I can get you an appointment the same day, if necessary. So for quick and affordable tax preparation give me a call.

I will be accepting credit cards this year. In the past I had problems with my reader, but that is no longer an issue. However, I will not be allowing clients to pay me when their refund comes in without a post-dated check. Due to the extremely high account receivables I have from 2018 Tax Season it is too costly for me to continue that privilege. I’m sorry for the inconvenience to those of you who do pay each year when your refund comes in.

I hope 2019 was a good year for you. Hopefully you have had a prosperous year. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Yup, I said it. I’m such a rebel. You know I could never be politically correct.

It is that time of year again. Though the IRS isn’t accepting Tax Returns until January 29th I am currently doing tax preparation. Apparently people just want to get their taxes done! The early returns will be filed first thing Jan 29, and hopefully those clients will be first to receive a refund. The IRS has also let us know any Tax Return claiming the Child Tax Credit and/or Earned Income Credit will not receive a refund until the end of February.

Hopefully all of my clients received the postcard announcing my move back to 610 19th Ave NE. If not, you’ve just been informed! I am back at my old address. I am directly across from CC Lee Elementary School. Some of you will be happy to know I am able to accept credit cards now. My calendar is starting to fill up so be sure to make your appointment soon. Not much has changed for 2017 Tax Returns. I can’t think of anything new that you need to bring to your appointment. If you have W-2’s or 1099’s needing to be sent out I need the information immediately. They are to be filed by January 31st.
