It is easy to open your bank account, see money sitting there, and assume everything is fine.

But some of that money may already be spoken for.

It may need to cover:

• Payroll
• Sales tax
• Estimated taxes
• Vendor bills
• Loan payments
• Upcoming insurance premiums
• Owner pay
• Future operating expenses

Your bank balance only tells you how much cash is in the account today.

It does not tell you how much profit you earned, what bills are still outstanding, or how much should be reserved for taxes.

A healthy business does not just watch the bank balance.

It also reviews the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow, upcoming obligations, and tax savings.

🎉 Help us welcome Brett Reel to the Pantana CPA team! 🎉

Brett is our newest Tax Senior, and we’re so excited to have him join us!

Of course, we had to ask him a few important “get to know you” questions first… because tax knowledge is great, but we also needed to know where he stands on pineapple pizza. 🍕

Here’s what we learned about Brett:

✈️ If he could have one superpower for a day, he’d choose flight, because flying over traffic sounds pretty amazing!

🍍 Pineapple on pizza? Absolutely not. No hesitation.

🎬 A movie he could watch over and over? Shaolin Soccer, he says it’s hilarious!

☕ Coffee, tea, or snacks? Brett says, “Point me to the snacks!”

🏔️ Beach vacation or mountain cabin? He’s choosing a tent in the mountains!

🍑 Georgia native? Yes! Brett is originally from Kennesaw, Georgia!

🍫 His go-to local treat? A chocolate croissant from Bonin’s Bakery. Excellent choice!

Brett says he’s excited to get to know the team, take on a wider range of responsibilities, and enjoy “the glory” of accounting. We love the enthusiasm! 🙌

And when we asked about pets, because obviously we needed names and photos, Brett fully understood the assignment. 🐾
