Community College Students: Explore Your Path to the CPA

TXCPA student members attending a community college are invited to participate in the AAA Two-Year Bridge Symposium on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Designed specifically for two-year college students, the symposium provides an opportunity to learn more about pathways into the accounting profession and connect with professionals and resources that can help you take the next step.

TXCPA will participate at seven locations across Texas, sharing information about the CPA Exam and licensure process and answering students’ questions about becoming a CPA.

Julia brings her expertise as a CPA and shareholder at Lawrence, Blackburn, Meek, Maxey & Co., P.C. to a board dedicated to licensing and regulating plumbing professionals across Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Julia Hayes and reappointed Dave Yelovich to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners for terms set to expire on September 5, 2031. The Board licenses master plumbers, journeymen, plumbers, and plumbing inspectors.
