This past weekend, the Kairos Wealth Partners team was proud to participate in the Logix Love Run in Westlake Village in support of Senior Concerns’ Meals on Wheels program, which helps provide meals and support to homebound seniors throughout the community.

We enjoyed connecting with so many local families, runners, and community members at our booth while supporting a meaningful cause that makes a real difference locally.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to the organizers, volunteers, and participants who made the event such a success.

As previously mentioned, I recently attended the Graeter Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce Civic Leadership Breakfast with the mayors of Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, and Thousand Oaks.

What stood out was how much strategic investment is quietly happening locally in our community.

A few highlights:
Agoura Hills
• Home to the largest wildlife crossing in the world, opening December 2026
• Investing heavily in water independence, with up to 30 percent of supply coming from local recycled sources
• Rolling out wildfire prevention programs that could directly impact insurance costs

Westlake Village
• Expanding fiber infrastructure and smart city technology
• Positioned to benefit from the 2026 World Cup tourism surge
• Continuing long-term community investment with major projects decades in the making

Thousand Oaks
• Planning a true downtown with mixed use housing, retail, and hospitality
• Roughly 1,000 housing units in the pipeline
• Taking advantage of a slower real estate cycle to build for the next expansion

My takeaway:
Growth is not always obvious. It is often happening in infrastructure, planning, and policy years before it shows up in the community.

Between global events, water security, housing development, and digital infrastructure, Conejo Valley is setting up nicely for the next decade.

Great way to start the day at the Civic Leaders Breakfast hosted by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Insightful discussion with Jeremy Wolf, Mayor of Agoura Hills, Sue Mcsweeney, Mayor of Westlake Village, and Mikey Taylor, Mayor of Thousand Oaks.

Encouraging to hear how each city is planning proactively around infrastructure, safety, housing, and economic growth across the Conejo Valley.

Thank you to Eric Hunzeker and the Chamber team for the invitation and for bringing together civic and business leadership.

Wealth & Wellness

What one of the longest studies ever done reveals about the real secret to living longer and happier. Harvard researchers spent nearly 80 years following people throughout their lives and the results were surprisingly simple.

Full article here: Harvard Gazette — Over Nearly 80 Years, Harvard Study Has Been Showing How to Live a Healthy and Happy Life

Top 5 Things This Study Says Matter Most:
1. Strong relationships are the #1 predictor of long term health and happiness.
Not money. Not fame. Not even genetics. It’s the people we stay connected to.

2. Loneliness is as harmful as smoking or alcoholism.
Isolation wears down the body just like major physical risk factors.

3. How happy you are in your relationships at midlife predicts your well being at age 80. It wasn’t cholesterol scores, it was relationship satisfaction.

4. Being part of a community helps you live longer.
Social ties build emotional resilience and support.

5. Relationships protect your physical health too.
Good social connections reduce the risk of chronic illness — even heart disease and diabetes.

So what can you do right now? Three simple actions:
• Make time for connection every week. A call. A walk. A coffee. Put it on the calendar.
• Strengthen one meaningful relationship. Small improvements ripple across decades.
• Join (or rejoin) a community. A gym class, volunteer group, hobby club — anything that brings people together.

Bonus: Here is a Prompt You Can Paste into Any AI Tool (ChatGPT, Gemini, CoPilot) to Find Local Social Opportunities

“I want to improve my social connections and community involvement for better long-term health. Based on my location, please give me a list of local opportunities such as clubs, fitness classes, volunteer organizations, hobby groups, community events, adult sports leagues, social meetups, or educational programs.
Include both free and paid options, along with websites or sign-up links when available. If possible, also suggest opportunities that match common interests like fitness, personal growth, arts, outdoors, or business networking.”
