🇺🇸 Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence 🇺🇸
Two hundred and fifty years ago, fifty-six brave individuals affixed their signatures to a document that would change the course of human history.
On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence declared to the world that all people are endowed with unalienable rights — life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness — and that governments derive their just power from the consent of the governed.
As we mark this milestone anniversary, it's worth remembering what our Founders risked to bring that vision to life, and what it has taken every generation since to preserve it.
President Ronald Reagan captured this truth when he warned that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction — it is not inherited automatically, but must be fought for and protected by each new generation of Americans.
That is why it matters so much that we remain clear-eyed about the ideals this nation was built on.
Our founding was an act of defiance against a distant, unaccountable government — it was rooted in the belief that individual liberty, private property, free enterprise, and limited government are the foundation of a free and prosperous society.
Socialism and communism stand in direct opposition to those founding principles.
Where our Declaration affirms that rights come from our Creator and cannot be taken away by the state, collectivist systems place the state above the individual, subordinating personal liberty and private property to central planning and government control. History has shown, time and again, the human cost of that path.
As proud Americans, let's use this 250th anniversary not just to celebrate our past, but to recommit ourselves to the timeless principles of liberty, self-governance, and free enterprise that have made this nation the greatest experiment in human freedom the world has ever known.
Happy Independence Day, and God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
