SENIORS: Heard that Social Security is tax-free now? Not exactly…

BUT, if you’re 65+, you might qualify for a special “senior deduction” (up to $6,000 per taxpayer) if your income is under $175K (single) or $250K (married), whether you’ve started receiving Social Security or not.

Younger Social Security recipients don’t qualify and seniors with income over $75K (single) or $150k (married) will receive a reduced deduction or no deduction at all.😢

Don’t be caught off guard: either way, you’ll still need to provide your Social Security tax form at tax time. 📆
