From the cheerleading mat to the world of federal auditing, every experience helps shape the path we take. 📣✨

In our latest employee spotlight, one of our team members shares how her background in cheerleading helped build skills that have stayed with her throughout her career: including teamwork, discipline, determination, and the ability to rise to a challenge.

For nearly a decade, she has continued to grow her career at Castro & Company. One of the things she values most is the opportunity to learn and understand the entire audit process and gaining broader, hands-on experience than she may have had at a much larger firm.

But beyond the work itself, it’s the culture that has made a lasting impact. The support, opportunities to learn, and people around her have helped her continue to grow both personally and professionally.

What an incredible week at the 2026 AGA Professional Development Training (PDT) in Washington, DC! We had the opportunity to connect with government finance professionals from across the country, share ideas, learn from industry leaders, and strengthen relationships with colleagues and clients.
