Furin & Company, PS, is a growing CPA firm in beautiful Anacortes, WA. Our firm works with a diverse group of bookkeeping and tax clients. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, friendly, and organized person to join our team of bookkeepers and tax preparers. The ideal candidate would desire to grow and expand the position. Prior experience with tax preparation a plus. CPA or EA certification also a plus.
Job Details:
- Assist with preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and nonprofit tax returns
- Assist with full cycle accounting duties for multiple clients: AR, AP, payroll, inventory, account reconciliations, journal entries, preparation of bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, year-end taxes and reports, etc.
- Review and respond to IRS notices
- Manage, maintain and build client relationships
Requirements:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and work well independently as well as on team projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
- Punctual and reliable
- Excellent customer service skills; personable and professional
- Adaptable problem solver
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with ProSeries and/or UltraTax CS tax software
- Critical thinking
- Familiar with research using hierarchy of credible sources
Must be a team player willing to work in a self-directed environment. Hours vary and schedule could be flexible. Occasional weekends during busy season will be necessary. You’ll be joining a great team who love to work hard, grow professionally, collaborate, and have fun.
