March Madness is here. 🏀 And every great coach does one thing before tip-off: they stress-test the game plan.

They don't just ask "what's our best play?" They ask "what breaks us if it goes wrong?"
Here's my unpopular opinion: most investors never do this.

Your strategy shouldn't be built around returns. It should be built around YOUR life. Retirement timing. Tax efficiency. What happens if the market drops 30% the year you planned to retire.
That's how you build a portfolio that doesn't just perform. It protects.

Today marks Women’s Equal Pay Day - a reminder of the ongoing journey toward equity in the workplace.

This date represents how far into the year the average woman must work to earn the same as the average man did last year. While progress has been made, the work isn’t done.

Awareness is just the beginning. Financial confidence, access to resources, and ongoing conversations all help move the needle forward.

Let’s keep showing up, speaking up, and supporting one another.

When did you last actually review your home, auto, or umbrella coverage? Most people set it and forget it. But gaps in property and casualty insurance can quietly undermine everything you've spent years building.

In my newest podcast episode of GenRelational Wealth, I sit down with Mike Blumenfeld of to talk personalized coverage, dangerous gaps, and why periodic reviews matter more than most people think.

Learn how independent insurance agents like Mike Blumenfeld of Mile Square Insurance Agency help you find personalized coverage for home, auto, renters, and more. In this episode of Gen Relational Wealth, Gordon Haas breaks down how to evaluate your insurance needs, avoid costly gaps, and build real

Financial disagreements are one of the strongest predictors of relationship stress. Not because money is complicated, but because it touches everything: values, security, identity, and the future you're building together.
The good news? A little structure goes a long way.

The groundhog decides if winter drags on.
You decide if financial uncertainty does the same.

Most people stay stuck because they're waiting for the perfect moment to get serious about planning.
Spoiler alert: it's now. Not when markets calm down or when you magically have more time.

Winter ends when you decide it does.
Ready to move from winter to spring? Let's talk.

Takes a licking, but keeps on ticking.

When's the best time to buy life insurance?
When you're healthy.
I work in the insurance industry; today, I'm uninsurable.

During Covid, I had a massive heart attack and cardiac arrest, leaving permanent damage to my heart. Thanks to modern medicine and a lot of work, I've rehabilitated in ways I never imagined. I'm active, energized, and deeply grateful.

But here's what matters:
I bought life insurance before all of this. If I hadn't, it would now be too late.
That experience is why I became a financial planner and got licensed in life insurance. Not to sell fear. To share perspective.

Every year, someone we know passes unexpectedly. If you have people who depend on you, make sure your coverage is in order.
If you already have coverage, it may be time for a review. If you don't, the best day was yesterday. The second best is today.

I'm happy to help you understand your options.

What are Wall Street’s best and brightest looking for in 2026?

If you toss out the highest and lowest, you can see that the other forecasts settle into a pretty tight range for the year.

What the table doesn’t show is that there will be highs and lows during the year. There will be times when stock prices look invincible. And there will be times when you wonder why you invest in stocks at all.

The 4% Rule: Does It Still Work for Your Retirement?

If you're approaching retirement, you've probably heard of the "4% rule". But what does it actually mean, and does it still apply today?

Bottom line: There's no universal answer. Your retirement distribution strategy needs to match YOUR specific goals, timeline, and comfort with risk.
If you have questions about planning your retirement withdrawals, let's chat about creating a strategy that fits your unique situation.

Making good money doesn't automatically mean having financial clarity.
I see this pretty frequently: smart people with good strategies, but nothing's working together. They have lots of accounts, more stress, and less confidence.
I put this together to show the 3 things that help create clarity: Direction, Structure, and Tradeoffs.
Watch through and tell me which one hits home for you? 👇

(Want to talk through your specific situation? Message me. I help people build financial plans that fit their lives and their “why”.)

Year-end giving usually starts with cash. But it doesn't have to end there. Here is one option many donors overlook.
