SALES TAX CHANGE SUMMARY FOR ANNA
Effective July 1, 2025, certain taxing jurisdictions have imposed a local sales tax or changed their local sales tax rate on general merchandise sales. Anna, Illinois sales tax rate will increase to 9.5%. This is just for the city of Anna, not Union County. Please make all necessary adjustments to reflect this change.

March 1, 2024 – Farmers and Fishermen
March 15, 2024 – S Corporations and Partnerships
April 15, 2024 – Individual, C Corporation and Trusts
May 15, 2024 – Non-Profit/ Tax Exempt Entities

Attention, business owners. If you pay an employee or a contractor or vendor, please make sure you have them fill out either a W9 (contractor 1099 vendor) or a W4 (employee on payroll). Make sure they have submitted their name, address, social security or Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), and have signed at the bottom of the document.
