Moon and R.L. Crumpton to provide tax preparation service to the Gadsden,AL area. Two years later it was moved to Anniston,AL and has continued to serve the area for over 60 years. MTS has remained a family enterprise for four generations.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced Monday, January 26, 2026, as the opening of the nation’s 2026 filing season. The IRS strongly encourages taxpayers to establish a bank account to receive their tax refunds via direct deposit, because the IRS is phasing out paper tax refund checks due to the executive order, Modernizing Payments To and From America’s Bank Account.
