šŸŽ‰ One year of Albatross Financial šŸŽ‰

Tomorrow marks one year since I took the leap and started Albatross Financial — and I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on just how much can happen in 12 months.

When I started, I knew building something of my own would come with challenges. What I didn’t fully appreciate was how many people would be willing to support, encourage, refer, and believe in me along the way.

I’m incredibly grateful for every client who has trusted me with something as important as their financial future. I’m grateful for the friends, family, and professional connections who have opened doors and sent people my way.

The first year has been a lot of learning, a lot of hard work, and a lot of growth — both personally and professionally.

Most importantly, I’m proud of what Albatross has become, and I’m even more excited about where it’s going.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the first year. I truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to year two. šŸ„‚

At this time, we are without power. We will be rescheduling our appointments over the next few days until it is restored. However, if you need immediate assistance, we are available via email or call/text (920) 212-8182.

On that note, we are thinking about all of the families and businesses impacted by this storm. Don’t hesitate to reach out, Cortney and I would be happy to help.

Small Lessons Create Big Results

One week at summer camp doesn't change a child's life.

But years of learning, growing, and building habits can.

Investing works much the same way.

Most wealth isn't built through one great investment. It's built through consistent saving, disciplined investing, and patience over time.

Small actions repeated consistently often produce extraordinary results.

What was your favorite summer camp, activity, or childhood summer memory growing up?

Here is a couple of ours Albatross Financial:

⛺ Camping with my Family
šŸ¹ My kids learning golf and archery
šŸŽ™ļø Choir Camp- new friends, music, and performances

Every Great Trip Needs a Destination

Summer road trips start with a destination and a route. Financial planning works the same way.

Many people spend more time planning a week-long vacation than they do planning retirement. Yet retirement could last 20-30 years.

The most successful financial plans begin with a simple question:

"Where are you trying to go?"

Whether it's retiring early, helping children through college, purchasing a vacation home, or leaving a legacy, clarity creates confidence.

This summer, take a few minutes to think about your destination—not just your next vacation.

What's one place that's still on your family's summer bucket list this year?

Here is a couple of ours:

**Go to Washington Island and see the Lavender Fields
**Hike Witches Gultch in Baraboo
**Spend time with the kids at the Lake
**Take a family road trip and cross off a stateside destination (Niagara Falls, Mount Rushmore, etc...)

Many great financial advisors I’ve met over the years aren’t ā€œready to retireā€ā€¦ but they are starting to think about what the next chapter looks like.

If that’s you (or someone you know)—I’d welcome a conversation.

Not about ā€œselling your bookā€ overnight.

More about:
• Creating a thoughtful transition plan for your clients
• Preserving the relationships and trust you’ve built
• Exploring a gradual handoff vs. a hard stop
• Structuring something that works for you personally and financially

I’m a practicing advisor who cares deeply about long-term client relationships and continuity—not just transactions.

This doesn’t have to be a ā€œbig decisionā€ conversation—just a starting point to explore options--feel free to message me directly.

šŸ˜’ Not fully satisfied with how your taxes have looked the last few years ā“

You’re not alone – and the good news is that thoughtful planning can often make a meaningful difference over time.

When I meet with individuals and families, we talk through questions like:

šŸ‘‰ How are your investment accounts positioned from a tax perspective (pre‑tax, Roth, after‑tax)?

šŸ‘‰ Are you taking full advantage of available retirement plan options at work or through your business?

šŸ‘‰ How will future withdrawals in retirement impact your tax bracket?

šŸ‘‰ Have recent life changes (job, business income, relocation, inheritance) affected your overall plan?

šŸ‘‰ Is your current strategy aligned with your long‑term goals and risk comfort?

If you’d like to review your current situation and discuss general planning considerations, I’m happy to connect. Give us a ā˜Žļø

Most people don’t ā€œfailā€ retirement because of the market.
They fail it because of planning blind spots.

I put together this quick graphic on the most common retirement mistakes I see: from investing too aggressively (or too conservatively) to ignoring taxes and healthcare.

Which of these feels most real to you right now?

Confidence starts with a plan. Let's make sure your plan is taking these blind spots into consideration.

Economic data released last week suggested mixed growth, with strengthening activity signals contrasting sharply with weaker consumer confidence, persistent producer level inflation, and a Fed meeting that underscored a steady policy stance amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
