- You can get your score in less than two minutes by using apps like Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, Mint, or Credit.com

- Keep track of your credit through programs like Lifelock

- You can get a free credit report at annualcreditreport.com

- Make sure to dispute errors to keep your credit clear - and do so QUICKLY

Remember, the sooner you start the closer you'll be to reaching your financial goals!

760-850 excellent
700-759 very good
660-699 good
620-659 not good
580-619 poor
500-579 very poor

Averages I typically see are around 720-730's for most people.

If your credit is taking a few dings you could find yourself in the 500 range.

You can come back from that with steady discipline and consistency in paying on time and eliminating debt.
