I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Perry Weisman two weeks in advance for a physical examination and completion of the required Driver Wellness and Safety forms. Based on the information provided when I made the appointment and the services advertised, I reasonably expected both services to be completed during my client’s visit.
Upon arrival, my client was asked numerous questions about his lack of medical history, which was the main reason of the appointment. After 40 minutes of conversation with the assistant, Dr. Weisman declined all services.
This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I had scheduled the appointment well in advance and spent time traveling to the office, only to be turned away after providing the requested information. If my medical history or any other circumstance meant that the examination and paperwork could not be completed, that should have been communicated before the appointment or during the initial scheduling process.
I recognize that a physician may have legitimate professional reasons for declining to provide a particular service. However, patients deserve clear communication, transparency, and respect for their time. This situation could have been avoided through more thorough screening and communication before my arrival.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this practice to patients seeking dependable service and clear guidance regarding medical examinations and required paperwork.
