📣 NOMINATE SOMEONE WHO MAKES ADAMS COUNTY OR THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES BETTER!

A Week That Counts: Celebrating Our Unsung Heroes! 💙

We are very excited about this one! Tomorrow, we're turning the spotlight on some of the wonderful people who make our community a better place — and we need YOUR help! ❤️

We all know someone who goes above and beyond without expecting anything in return. Maybe it's a first responder, teacher, nurse, volunteer, or simply a neighbor who's always there to lend a helping hand. We want to hear about them! 🌟

👇 Nominate a local unsung hero in the comments below (make sure you're on the original post)! Tell us who they are and a little bit about why they deserve some extra appreciation.

Nominate through 4pm Friday (yes, we extended it!), and over the weekend, we'll randomly draw TWO names from all the nominations to receive one of these gift baskets, filled with goodies from some of our wonderful local businesses! 🎁

🎟️ Gift cards to local favorites, including the Gettysburger, Adams County Winery, and Mr. G's!

🍎 Applesauce and hot cocoa from Hollabaugh's

☕ Coffee from Ragged Edge and coffee syrup from Rosie's Collection

🕯️ Soaps, candles, notebooks, lip balms, chocolates, and more from local shops

🍑Peaches, salsas, and other goodies from McDannell's

It's a little way to recognize some deserving people while also showing love to the small businesses that make our community special.

So, who's someone in our community who deserves a little extra recognition? We can't wait to read your nominations! 💙

A Week That Counts: Filling Bags, Feeding Neighbors! 🛒❤️

First, I believe there may still be a tab at Monique's! Make sure to stop in tomorrow morning to get your goodies if it's still going!

Then tomorrow, we're taking our gratitude to the grocery store! We're going shopping for Bag the Bounty, a wonderful local initiative through the United Way that collects food and supplies, and distributes them to local food pantries, missions, and other organizations helping our neighbors in need.

We love that this initiative reaches so many different organizations throughout our community, helping make sure food and supplies get into the hands of those who need it most.

🛒 Stay tuned tomorrow for our trunk full of goods! I'll update this post with a picture!

Thank you for making A Week That Counts possible. Giving back to the community that has supported us is what this week is all about! 💙

We're starting this week with grateful hearts! 💙

Being voted the 2026 Gettysburg Times Pick of the County 1st Place Winner in the Accountant and Tax Preparation categories is an incredible honor. But what makes it so special is knowing that it's because of the wonderful clients, friends, family, and community who have supported our small business along the way.

Every vote, referral, kind word, and opportunity to serve you has helped us get to where we are today. And we couldn't be more thankful! ❤️

So, we decided the best way to celebrate is to give back to the community that has given us so much!

Welcome to A Week That Counts! 🎉

All week long, we'll be spreading a little kindness, showing our appreciation, and hopefully putting some smiles on faces along the way. We'll announce each day's surprise the day before, so be sure to follow along!

🥐 TOMORROW: Breakfast on Us! ☕

We've left a tab at Gateau Monique in Littlestown to cover $5 per person toward their purchase starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, until the tab runs out!

Whether you're stopping in for your morning coffee, grabbing a pastry, or treating yourself to breakfast, we'd love for you to enjoy a little something on us!

It's our way of saying thank you while also showing some love to another wonderful local small business. We hope you'll stop by, enjoy something delicious, and help us spread the celebration!

Thank you again for supporting our small business, believing in us, and making this recognition possible. We are so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community!

We will be set up at The Arc in Gettysburg until 7:30! Bring the little ones for some treats! ❤️🎉

The wait is over… we can finally share our news! 🏆🎉

Barrick Tax & Accounting Services, LLC has been voted 1st PLACE in BOTH Accountant and Tax Preparation in the 2026 Gettysburg Times Pick of the County awards! ❤️

It's hard to put into words just how much this means to us. As a small business, we are fortunate to work with so many wonderful people, families, and businesses, and we never take that opportunity for granted.

To be recognized in not just one, but TWO categories, alongside so many other deserving local businesses, means more to us than we can express.

To everyone who took the time to vote, shared our name with a friend, offered a kind word, or put their trust in us — thank you! ❤️ Every referral, every recommendation, and every bit of encouragement has helped us get to where we are today.

And because this recognition is really a reflection of the amazing community around us, we want to share the celebration!

🎉 Next week, we're hosting "A Week That Counts!" — five days of gratitude, fun surprises, and giving back to the community that has given us so much.

👀 Follow along starting Monday! We have some special things planned, and we can't wait to share them with you!

Thank you for being part of our story. We are so grateful! ❤️
