Your credit limit isn’t extra income. Read that twice.

A $10,000 limit doesn’t mean you suddenly have $10,000 to spend.

One of the things that can quietly work against a credit profile is carrying high balances compared with the revolving credit available to you.

And here’s where people get caught:

You pay on time every month, so you assume everything is fine.

Meanwhile, your cards are reporting heavily utilized.

Payment history matters, but it isn’t the only thing being evaluated.

This is why I teach people to stop treating credit like a bill-paying contest and start understanding how the entire profile works.

The goal isn’t to collect limits so you can spend more.

The goal is to manage what you’ve been given with wisdom.
