Missing income is one of the biggest triggers for audits.

Make sure you gather all your 2025 financial documents before you file.

By now you should have received all you tax filing forms, if you’re missing a W2 or 1099, do this:

- Use Form 4852 (Substitute for Form W-2/1099-R) fill out Form 4852 using your final paystub to estimate income and tax withholding.

- Get an IRS Transcript: You may be able to obtain the information via a Wage and Income Transcript from the IRS.

- File an Extension: Use Form 4868 to request more time, which allows you to wait for the documents while avoiding a failure-to-file penalty

If you’re ready to file, DM me “TAXES” and I’ll send you the link to get started.

Before you hit “file”, here are 5 smart things to do first (whether you’re W-2, self-employed, or both).

1. Gather all your income (not just the obvious stuff). Missing income is one of the biggest reasons people get IRS letters later.
2. Organize your expenses & deductions. If you’re self-employed, this step is huge.
3. Check your life changes from last year. These change credits, deductions, and filing status.
4. Review last year’s return. This helps avoid repeating mistakes and improves strategy.
5. Decide if you need strategy, not just filing. This is where professionals really earn their value.

Comment "FILE" or DM me to get assistance with your tax preparation needs and schedule free quarterly tax planning services to ensure your ahead of the game for next year.

February is the calm before the storm, allowing you to organize, verify, and strategize rather than scramble.

Make sure you're presenting the correct income and expense numbers to avoid delays, over or under paying and most importantly audits.

DM me “FILE” and I’ll assist you with your tax filings for this year and or any previous years you need assistance.
