As a reminder to those who have not yet filed their 2021 tax returns, April 18, is the due date to either file a return or file for an automatic extension. The traditional April 15 filing date is moved to the 18th because of a holiday in the District of Columbia. Taxpayers in Maine and Massachusetts get an additional day to the 19th because of a holiday in those states.
