Thanks to all clients who stuck with me during this year of turmoil! I appreciate all of you and bless you all who accepted extensions this year after I fell and hurt my self on April 1st. I’m doing fine now going to spend a couple weeks with family and rest up.

If you haven’t paid me yet, remember, there’s an option by going to wristencpa.com, clicking on make a payment, and paying your bills with debit or credit. There is no charge for using a credit card this year. I’ve decided to pay that charge myself for the convenience of having the money go right to my bank.

Many clients know that Mason has not been well. I’m happy to report that he had major surgery today which was successful! The doctors expect him to have a full recovery and be back to the person who he was before he got water on the brain. My stepkids report that he’s in some pain but doing well. We don’t know yet how soon he’ll be able to get back to work.

Mason no longer works with me since we’re separated. He’s appreciative for his clients who have stuck with him through his illness. If you need an extension (which gives you until October 15 to file your tax return but if you think you owe you should make a payment by April 15) and are a current client of Mason’s or mine please email me at [email protected] and I’ll make sure an extension gets filed. 

We are not accepting new clients at this time.

Do not reach out to either of us through Facebook or Messenger about tax issues. We cannot discuss your taxes through social media.

Rhythm day - the Mambo

You may have noticed that my appointment calendar is no longer active on my website. I’m doing my best to go fully virtual in 2026. I’m working out the details and all of the clients that I prepared 2024 tax returns for will get a notification once I’m ready to share more with you.

No, I’m not retiring, but I’m trying to have more work life balance, which I’ve learned is important as I’ve gotten healthy this past year. The overhead of having a physical office means that I have to do 50 to 100 clients more just to pay for the office building. The time I would have spent doing tax returns to pay that overhead, I plan to be using to enjoy my life and continue my ballroom dancing.

Mason and I are no longer working together. Each of us has our own sole proprietorship and plan to continue to help our long time clients. I am not accepting new clients, but I believe Mason is considering it.

If you have questions, please email me and I will get back to you after the holidays. I will continue to give you the same professional service that I have since opening my business in February 1982.

I will not be doing 1099s this year, but I have two recommendations for very reasonable and professional 1099 preparation which I shared with most of you last year. If you’re a client and you need this information, please send me an email.
