Hello all!

This is Nick and Kristin with a quick update from the office. As you can see, we're still in the midst of renovations so we're not quite ready to reopen for in-person visits.

We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we navigate this important phase of growth for the business.

In the meantime, we are fully operational while working remotely. Our Monday and Friday pickup hours from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. remain in place. If you need to drop something off or pick something up, please call the office in advance to confirm availability, as we may occasionally deviate from our regular schedule.

Thank you again for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you back into the new and improved space soon!

TL;DR, we're remodeling! In-person services are unavailable until the remodel is complete later this year. If you need us, please call or email us as we will be working remotely.

We’re excited to share that Auburndale Bookkeeping & Tax Service has begun a much-needed office remodel. While our physical office will be temporarily closed, our team will continue to operate remotely and provide the same high level of service you’ve come to expect. While we won’t be able to meet face-to-face during the remodel, we will continue to schedule appointments, which will be conducted over the phone.

For our in-house clients, please continue using our secure portal through Financial Cents to upload your documents. If you need help accessing the platform, contact us right away.

You may still drop off documents at our office on Mondays and Fridays from 9AM to 10AM. For those needing to pick up documents in person, all visits must be scheduled in advance through our office. Please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements. Mail forwarding is in place for any documents received via USPS.

Our phone lines remain open, so feel free to call us with any questions.

As if the continuous back-and-forth of the BOI's enforceability wasn't confusing enough, the latest update sees the Supreme Court lifting one of the injunctions pausing the program; however, there are more legal battles to play out before a final ruling is made.

Our advice? File it and get rid of one more thing to keep track of.

In another case in Texas, a judge issued a nationwide order prohibiting enforcement of beneficial ownership information reporting requirements, meaning BOI reports are still on hold.

We are back up and running!
Taxpayers in our area have received an extension on their 2023 tax filings. Please find more information on the IRS website.

IR-2024-266, Oct. 11, 2024 — In the wake of the devastating hurricanes that have ravaged Florida and the Southeast in recent weeks, the Internal Revenue Service today reassured victims that it stands ready to provide the tax-related assistance they need to recover from these storms.
