A tax refund simply means you gave the IRS too much of your money during the year… and they’re giving it back.

Translation?
You gave the government an interest-free loan 😬

Now don’t get me wrong — some people LOVE a big refund because:
✔️ It feels like a bonus
✔️ It forces savings
✔️ It helps with large purchases

But financially?
The goal is usually to come as close to $0 as possible — not owing, not overpaying.
