Most trapping failures happen before the net ever drops.

Whole-sounder removal isn't about luck. It's patience and strategic monitoring that confirms the entire group is present AND comfortable at your bait site. Rush that step, and you risk spooking pigs that took weeks to pattern in.

Dr. John Kinsey breaks down exactly how to do it right in our new video: 21 Pigs Trapped - The Pig Brig Tutorial.

We had a great weekend at Texas Wildlife Association WildLife 2026 Annual Convention.

Every year we look forward to being part of an event that celebrates Texas’ outdoor community while bringing together the top conversations and breakthroughs shaping our industry. Three days of connecting with landowners, biologists, and conservation partners from across the state, always well spent.

Thank you to the Texas Wildlife Association for another great convention.

21 pigs. One night.

Wise Eye Game Cameras kept us locked in on feral hog activity at Hill Country Conservancy's Pecan Springs Karst Preserve, and that intel is exactly what turned into one of our biggest single-night catches yet.

Now we're breaking down exactly how we did it. Our upcoming YouTube video "21 PIGS CAPTURED - The Pig Brig Tutorial" features Plateau's own John Kinsey, who has spent over a decade trapping feral hogs across the globe. He walks through every Pig Brig component start to finish, the full setup process, and the tricks that make your first sounder catch possible.

Premieres Saturday at 9AM, only on YouTube.

Mowing it down doesn't kill it. It just tells the root system to try again next season.

Plateau runs two treatments built on the actual biology of what you're fighting:

Cut-Stump Application: mature mesquite, huisache, willow baccharis, ligustrum, nandina, chinaberry, Chinese tallow. Cut at the base, treated at the source, gone for good.

Foliar Application: prickly pear, small re-growth mesquite/huisache, willow baccharis. Caught early, before it re-establishes.

TDA Commercial Applicators Licensed. Trained crews. The right method for the right growth stage, every time.

Shredding buys you a season. This buys you the land back.

Every July, the Golden-cheeked Warbler quietly disappears from Texas.

Every spring, they make the trip from Central America to breed in one specific place on earth - the juniper-oak woodlands of the Texas Hill Country. They raise their young, and by midsummer, they're already heading south again.

Land that holds an endangered species isn't a liability. It's a legacy. Manage it right and it'll keep bringing them back - every single spring.

Central Texas landowners - your property may be part of their range. Let's talk about what responsible management looks like year-round.

Yes, a Wildlife Management Plan is required to qualify for Wildlife Management Valuation in Texas.

That plan has to be prepared and submitted alongside your open space application. It doesn't have to come from a professional, but it does have to meet the requirements set by Texas Parks and Wildlife and adopted by the comptroller.

No plan, no valuation. It's that simple.

We prepare Wildlife Management Plans for landowners across Texas.

A couple of prickly pear plants doesn't seem like a problem.

Two years later, you can't get back into that corner of your field.

That's how fast it spreads. What starts as a few plants turns into twenty, thirty, then fifty to a hundred. Before long you've got sections of your property that are completely unusable, and your only option is going in to kill it and remove it.

Don't wait until you're covered up. Foliar treatment is the most effective way to get ahead of prickly pear before it takes over.
