Here is a very scary epidemic that is going on in this country - and it can happen to u...It is Tax Fraud. There are many people, even a certain number of my clients, who was victims of tax fraud because some thief or thieves have stolen their identity. Over the last year some 6.5 billion dollars was defrauded by the government n tax refunds. The state of Florida has become a hotbed for tax fraud - its just as bad as drug dealing. In fact, they call the tax fraud system 'the drop.' A young female by the name of Rashida Wilson who called herself on Facebook "The Queen of Tax Fraud" has stolen millions of dollars from the Government, denying innocent taxpayers their refunds. She is now serving a 21 year sentence. So please everyone, watch where u have your personal information like Social Security numbers and addresses. The IRS are weak when it comes to proving security against tax fraud and it may take victims a year or much longer to collect on their rightful refunds. So if u have any personal info u r discarding, shred them before u put it out n the trash. It's better safe than sorry!

Attention to those who may opt to do the taxes themselves. When u use turbo tax, tax wise or other tax software to prepare your taxes, remember that the programs r only as good as the information u put n2 it. The programs can do great things for your taxes, but only if u put n the information correctly - even if u pay for audit protection. The IRS will still hold u responsible if u input the information incorrectly. So if u r n doubt about entering the information correctly, please take it to a tax pro who knows - like myself.

PSA: Don't b fooled by these tax hustlers!!! U heard the commercials where theysay "everybody gets a check" FAST!!! No matter what your tax situation is...u will get a check. That ruse is completely false. When Instant Tax Service commercialize it..it has a fine print saying that they use a 3rd party lender and not everyone will qualify. A straight up lie. Plus u need your w2 to file your return or the IRS will reject your return. A mere last of the year pay stub won't do. It not going to completely match your w2 info that the IRS has a copy of. Taxpayers - in which some have become my clients - has been cheated out of 1000s of dollars with this ruse and I don't want this to happen to anyone of u.
