Good recordkeeping can make tax time a whole lot easier.📂

Throughout the year, make sure you're keeping documentation for your income, expenses, business activity, and major purchases.

For Business owners, that may include:
- Receipts and Invoices
- Bank and credit card statements
- Mileage and vehicle records
- Travel and meal expenses
- Business subscriptions and other recurring expenses
- Equipment, vehicles, and other major purchases
- 1099s and other income documents
- Prior-year tax returns and tax payment records

And don't just keep the receipt - keep the details. For business expenses, documentation should generally help show you what you purchased, when you purchases it, how much you paid, and the business purpose.

Good records don't just help at tax time. They can also help you better understand where your business is spending and how it's performing.
