I also have taken it upon myself to get additional designations beyond the CFP® to better serve my clients, such as the BFA™ and APMA™. Outside of work, I happily serve as the chairman for the Lakeview Urbandale Kiwanis Outdoor Center in Battle Creek, a 60-acre multi-purpose property with a primary goal of serving the children in the community. I served 10 years as an ambassador for the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce, working with business owners and executives to grow their business and retain a presence in the community. I also served in local organizations such as Battle Creek Unlimited's Direct Investment Fund committee, University of Michigan’s Kalamazoo Alumni Group, and United Way's Small Business Coalition as a founding member. About 10 years ago, I had the opportunity to tour the Chicago Board of Trade. I remember thinking how incredible it was that billions of dollars were traded there every day, and I wondered what it would be like to work in this majestic city.

Last week, I came back, but this time as part of the OsborneKlein team, working from our Chicago office in the iconic Chicago Board of Trade Building.

It was a true full-circle moment. Our office overlooks Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, and the incredible architecture that makes this city one of a kind. More importantly, it serves as a reminder of how far the journey has come.

I’m grateful to be a partner with one of the premier wealth management teams in the country and excited for what lies ahead.

P.S. I had the honor to meet and hear from Donnie Campbell, who was the inspiration behind Ted Lasso. I could listen to him all day long.
