If you drew unemployment last year, you may want to wait a week or so to file your taxes. If you have already done so, you might need to talk to the person who helped you file your taxes.

The American Rescue Plan that is currently being voted on includes a tax break on the first $10,200 ($20,400 for married filing joint return) of unemployment benefits received in 2020 if your house income is under $150,000.

Still not certain how long after the bill has passed it will be before forms and software are edited for this. We will keep you posted!
