It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Philip Mellon.

Phil was not only a business partner, but a mentor and dear friend to our managing partner, Jeffrey Beder, for many years. His impact on our firm is lasting and meaningful — the “MB” in Acumen MB LLC proudly stands for Mellon & Beder, a reflection of Phil’s incredible contributions, leadership, and decades of dedicated work.

Phil’s guidance, integrity, and commitment to excellence helped shape the foundation of our firm and influenced countless professionals along the way. His legacy will continue to live on through the values he instilled and the work we carry forward every day. In the Jewish tradition, we say “May his memory be a blessing,” and Phil’s memory will indeed remain a blessing to our firm, our clients, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We send our heartfelt love and condolences to Phil’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

At Acumen MB LLC, we’re grateful for the trust and partnership of our clients all year long. As we take time to celebrate Thanksgiving, our office will be closed from Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28.

📞 We will still be reachable by phone and email until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, even though our physical office will be closed.
💼 Regular office hours will resume on Monday, December 1.
