TR Tax Talks - Bad News for Self-Employed Individuals. You May Still Have to Pay Tax On Tips 😞

*Edited: Only tips that are properly reported on Form W-2 or Form 1099 qualify for the deduction. However, the IRS is providing transitional relief and allowing self-employed individuals who do not receive an income statement to still deduct qualified tips for the 2025 tax year provided they maintained sufficient income records.
