We’re excited to announce that the IRS is officially open!

Here’s what this means for you:

YOUR TAX RETURN STATUS

• Your return will either be ACCEPTED or REJECTED by the IRS.

• Once ACCEPTED, you’ll receive an email notification from us, and you can begin tracking your refund using Where’s My Refund after 24 hours.

HOW TO TRACK YOUR REFUND

1. Use Form 1040 to find the information you need for tracking: Line 35A: Shows the refund amount to enter into the tracker. This is your estimated refund before any tax-related fees or advances.

2. Remember, Where’s My Refund updates once daily, so there’s no need to check excessively throughout the day.

REFUND BREAKDOWN

• The Refund Disbursement Service Application page of your tax documents provides a detailed breakdown of the estimated amount paid to you after associated fees, minus any approved advance amounts.

IMPORTANT TAX FORM DEADLINES

• Employers must issue tax forms by Friday, January 31, 2025.

• Tax forms must either be: Electronically available by January 31, or

Postmarked by January 31 if mailed.

We understand the rush to file early, but please ensure you have all required forms to avoid delaying your federal refund.

🚨 **Important Tax Season Update!** 🚨

The IRS will begin accepting and processing 2024 tax returns starting **January 27th**! 🗓️

To ensure your return is accurate and processed smoothly, it’s crucial to have **all your documents ready** before filing. Here’s what to keep in mind:

✅ **W-2s**: If you worked a traditional job, make sure you’ve received your W-2 from your employer.

✅ **1099s**: If you worked as an independent contractor for companies like DoorDash, Amazon Flex, Uber, Lyft, or any other gig economy platform, you **MUST wait for the company to issue your 1099 form** (if you earned over $600).

👉 **Why wait?** Filing without all your required documents could delay your refund or trigger unnecessary IRS reviews.

💡 **Pro Tip**: Use this time to gather receipts, mileage logs, and any other documents needed for deductions or credits. It’s better to take your time and file correctly than to rush and risk errors.
