We’re excited to introduce the newest friendly face in our Belleville office, Tina, our Office Assistant!

She greets everyone with a warm smile and makes both staff and clients feel welcome the moment they walk through the door. With many years of experience in office administration, she’s already diving in to learn everything about how Saric Consulting supports families through the Medicaid process.

We’re thrilled to have her on the team!

Help us welcome Tabatha to the Saric Team in the Springfield office! She joined at a critical time to offer clerical support to Lauren. Since June 2026, she answers various calls, schedules appointments, builds cases, manages tasks and much more.

Her smile offers comfort to our families as they enter the office, sometimes very nervous as they are not quite sure what to expect when they arrive. She offers support to Lauren as the office continues to grow and meet the needs for more families in the Central IL region. They have built a great team that benefits all our families, attorneys and facilities who utilize that office every day.

Tabatha is always striving to learn more about the process and how she can provide support to not only the Springfield office, but to the staff in Belleville as well! Help us welcome her and encourage her as she continues to learn all the processes that make the office run for the benefit of our clients and their families.

This is an email received today from one of the daughters regarding their mom's case.

Their dad came into our original Belleville suite worried about how he was going to pay for his wife's care. We walked alongside him until his 2 daughters took over after his passing. They never took for granted our role in helping them achieve accurate and favorable notices. We processed the original application, handled an appeal and processed years of annual renewals, putting their minds at ease as they worked and had families of their own. Saric staff supported them in ways that set us apart from others, which is why we do what we do!

What a blessing to be a part of their lives for so long. Their mom now rests in peace, and these 2 daughters still share how grateful they are for the services we provided for all these years, we are blessed beyond words!

Meet Kathy! She joined Saric in June 2026 and has had no problem jumping right into the caseworker position. With her previous 25 years of paralegal experience at a large local law firm, managing a caseload has not been difficult for her at all. She is focusing on learning the processes at Saric and how to engage with families to make them feel comfortable as she helps them gather 5 years of information and prepare for a successful application.

She is already building case records, entering case notes with details that create organized files with favorable outcomes, and meeting clients to call third parties to request documents needed for the review process. She has been an incredible team player and we are proud to introduce her as one of newest members in the Belleville office!

They want you to click links in the email. Please report these emails to the SMP right away at smpresource.org/reportfraud.

Saric Consulting would like to congratulate Jessica in her new role as Director of Contracted Homes and Business Development!

Jessica will be managing a team focused on the homes contracted with Saric to complete applications for their residents. We are currently contracted with 26 nursing homes across IL, but this new role will allow her to focus on building even more relationships while adding contracted homes so the facilities can focus on caring for their residents and not the application process. Jessica has spent the last 2 years approving cases for the majority of these homes and has been an important part in making this process successful for the families and facilities.

She has worked as a liaison between the resident/family, facility staff and state agencies to ensure accurate information is reported, non-allowable transfers causing penalties are identified early so the families and facilities can prepare, and making sure the decisions are correct. Some of her cases were difficult due to estranged spouses, financial exploitation, and family dynamics that added a layer of difficulty most individuals would have given up on. She has had many successful approvals after the families or facility staff tried to get the case approved but ended up with denials and months of financial loss.

Jessica has traveled hours to meet with families; discussing the process, making phone calls to request pension verification letters, bank statements, insurance policies, burial documents and many more. She has built a solid foundation with facility staff at these contracted homes, making them comfortable with referring clients and trusting the Saric process.

As nursing homes focus on caring for the elderly and disabled, our focus is on the application process so they are paid for the care they provide, and the resident can focus on either rehabbing home or getting comfortable with their new care facility. When some facilities rely on Medicaid to cover the cost for up to 90% of their low-income residents, it is imperative they receive favorable decisions. When the facility doesn't need to spend countless hours dealing with all the red tape associated with the application process, it allows them to focus on all the other duties that keep the facility open and available to our communities.

The Saric team would like to celebrate Lauren from the Springfield office! You may have seen her on the most recent Springfield commercial or met her in the office, but once you meet her, you will have wonderful things to say about her. She is patient, caring, supportive and an amazing team member that managed the Springfield office by herself for a few months until we found her clerical support.

Lauren has been managing all types of cases since she started in March 2025. From asset protection to contracted homes, she juggles phone calls, scheduled and conducted consultations, and helped walk-ins with a smile on her face and compassion in her heart. She is eager to learn more and always taking notes to improve her knowledge of those really difficult situations.

We are so proud to have her as part of the Springfield office and Saric team!
